Building Phase

From 1990 to 2002:

Ets. Fadi Sawaya started the distribution of consumer selective beauty products in Lebanon, and the retail activity through its subsidiary Captif.

In 1997, Jouzour Offshore SAL started to expand its business scope to cover foreign 
markets along with Ets. Fadi Sawaya. 

Organizational Phase

From 2002 to 2005:

Having achieved an outstanding growth and breakthrough in the beauty field, the owner has decided to diversify the activities provided and the investment in different sectors. During this phase, new premises were procured and several companies were established:

In January 2002, Sawaya Holding SAL was established to organize and manage all operations by delegating tasks to specialized managers with its departments working in a multi-company system. 

In February 2002, the corporate name of Ets. Fadi Sawaya was changed to Fadi Sawaya SAL while striving to enhance its acquired leadership in the Lebanese market and maintain its reputation as the biggest market shareholder in the beauty field distribution. In addition to its main product consumer activity, the company has aimed to satisfy the needs of the professional segment. The acquired deep knowledge of market and customer needs was essential for the development of the Company which became, in 2004, the sole distributor in the Middle East countries of the most prestigious brands for retail and professional purposes, such as Orly, SpaRitual, NSI, ProVoc as well as many other professional brands.

In June 2002,
Howtowow SAL a franchise distribution in the beauty servicing sector was established and a Howtowow beauty shop concept was developed to provide a tremendous boost to investors in this business by guaranteeing success and profitability as long as they adopt the Howtowow concept. Since then, the system has witnessed remarkable developments and is still achieving a spectacular success in all its beauty shops. 

Expansion Phase

From 2005

The efforts of the two previous phases, the know-how obtained over 17 years, the position acquired, in addition to the policy of reinvesting profits, formed a strong basis for continuous growth and expansion. Through a General Distribution Project, we are intending to acquire the biggest market share for the brands we hold in the beauty industry throughout the Middle East. 

In November 2005, Sawaya International LLC has been created in Dubai, as a first stage on the long expansion track, to provide both professional and consumer markets with selective and reputable brands in the beauty industry.
